In post-war Germany, cooked hams were pretty much an Easter treat so it came as a bit of a surprise when, in December of the first year of our family’s business, orders came into the tune of eight thousand hams. As always, Hans Knoll said ‘Yes’ when asked and it resulted in him working 48 hours straight hand-preparing and smoking the hams.

This heart-warming tale reminds us that the holiday spirit transcends time and circumstances. It's a testament to the enduring legacy of our family's commitment to spreading joy and warmth, one smoked ham at a time.
