Title: Short-Term Kitchen Prep / Cook – Event Support (Cairns)

Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable Kitchen Assistant / Prep Cook to help us get ready for an upcoming event in Cairns. You will be helping the kitchen team with essential food preparation, chopping, basic cooking, and organisation.

Dates: Tuesday, 22 September to Friday, 25 September
Hours: 6–8 hours per day - negotiable
Location: White Rock, Cairns

Pay Rate: Paid according to qualifications aligned with the Hospitality Industry (General) Award casual rates (e.g., Level 2 Casual Ordinary Rate is $33.85/hr).

Requirements:
Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment (Prep cook, cook, or experienced kitchen hand)
Strong knife skills and food safety knowledge

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Casual Barista & Event Staff – 4-Day Event (Cairns)

We are seeking experienced, fast-paced Barista & Hospitality Event Staff members to join us for an upcoming 4-day event in Cairns. If you love a buzzing event environment and can pump out high-quality coffee under pressure, we want to hear from you!

Shift Schedule & Locations:

- Paid Training/Briefing: Friday, 1pm 25 September (2.5 hours) at Blackbirds Cairns (Newell Street)
- Event Days: Monday, 28 September to Thursday, 1 October (8 hours per day, more available if desired) at White Rock, Cairns

Pay Rate: $33.85 per hour (Hospitality Industry General Award – Level 2 Food & Beverage Attendant, Grade 2 Casual Ordinary Rate)

Requirements:
- Proven barista experience (Must be fast-paced and serve good quality coffee. No latte art required!)
- Previous hospitality/event staff experience
- Reliable, punctual, and high energy

Note: No RSA is required for this role.

Visa Holders: This work is located in Cairns and can be counted towards regional hospitality visa extensions (Working Holiday Visa 417/462 days).
