We would like to sincerely thank our incredible community for the overwhelming support, messages, phone calls, offers of assistance, and concern shown following the assault on our driver, Glassy.

We are grateful to report that Glassy did not require medical assistance on this occasion, but incidents like this are completely unacceptable and should never happen to anyone simply trying to do their job.

Our drivers are out on the road in the early hours of the morning keeping businesses supplied and communities serviced. They deserve to feel safe while doing so.

While we are thankful this incident was not more serious, we are now strategically looking at ways to further improve the safety and security of our drivers and team members. The wellbeing of our staff will always be our highest priority.

Thank you again to everyone who reached out. Your support means more than you know, and it reminds us just how fortunate we are to be part of such a caring and supportive community.

We’ll just keep feeding him!

‼️⚠️ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ‼️⚠️

This morning, one of our Bairnsdale Dairy drivers was assaulted while carrying out deliveries.

Let that sink in.

A person who got out of bed in the early hours of the morning, turned up for work and was simply doing his job was assaulted.

Our drivers work when most people are asleep. They keep local businesses stocked, deliver essential products and help keep this town moving.

They should not have to fear being attacked while trying to earn a living.

We are fed up with the violence, intimidation and antisocial behaviour that hardworking people are increasingly being exposed to.

Every worker has the right to feel safe at work.

Every worker has the right to go home to their family at the end of their shift.

Today, we’re grateful our driver is okay.

But we’re also angry.

Because no one should have to accept assault as part of their job.

Enough excuses.
Enough tolerance.
Enough is enough.

Something needs to change before someone is seriously injured.

We stand behind our driver and every worker who gets up before dawn to keep this community running. Tim Bull MP
