Thankyou Off The Track for recognising our special boy Cody and his bond with Craig. We still can’t believe we won 🥹💙

❤️ Some horses just find their people, and Cody is one of them!

When we asked our community to share a photo showing just how much they love their OTT, this beautiful moment with Cody stole our hearts and took out our competition!

But it's the story behind the photo that makes it even more special. 🥹

Back in 2020, Cody was a freshly retired racehorse when he caught the eye of Craig, who had never ridden a horse in his life!

At 41, Craig decided to take up riding lessons so he could ride alongside his five-year-old daughter, Evie. When asked which horse he'd like to ride, he confidently pointed to Cody. Just 30 seconds later, he was on the ground! 😂

But that didn't stop him. Craig kept coming back, and the pair quickly formed an incredible bond. Before long, Cody became a permanent part of the family, and the two have been inseparable ever since.

Fast forward six years, and the story has come full circle. Evie is now 11 and has started riding Cody herself, taking dressage and showjumping lessons with dreams of competing at Boneo next year!

Meanwhile, Cody is also showing plenty of promise in eventing.

From a racehorse looking for his next chapter to Craig's best mate and now Evie's partner, Cody has found his forever home at Cooperfield Farm. 🐴❤️

What a beautiful reminder of just how special the bond between a Thoroughbred and their people can be.
