Lincoln — a 4-year-old Percheron stallion who has been with me to commence his education under saddle.

Lincoln had previously been mouthed and introduced to low chains by his former owner, giving him a good starting point. His new owners have entrusted him to me to continue his education and take the next step into ridden work.

He has proven to be a very intelligent and willing young horse, learning quickly and taking each new lesson in his stride. We’ve been able to develop his balance, responsiveness and understanding under saddle, and he has taken to the work very well.

Lincoln heads home this long weekend, ready to continue progressing with his Mum. A very promising young Percheron with a bright future ahead of him.

Another horse progressing towards the completion of his training — Rocky. 🐴

Rocky came to me to be broken to harness and has been an absolute pleasure to train. He has approached each stage of his education with a willing attitude and has established a solid foundation in harness.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll continue to refine his education, introducing and polishing more advanced manoeuvres while placing particular emphasis on improving his balance, straightness and way of going in the cart.

The finishing stages are all about refining the basics and developing the horse’s confidence, balance and responsiveness so they can carry themselves correctly and work comfortably in harness.

Rocky has been a lovely horse to have through the program, and I’m looking forward to seeing him continue to develop over the next few weeks.

I often get asked why I don’t share more of what I do on social media.

The truth is, most of the time I’m training alone, so getting good footage can be difficult. And when you’re actually busy training, the last thing on your mind is stopping to make a TikTok or reel! 😂

So, for those who have been asking — here’s my most recent graduate, Titan.

It has been an absolute pleasure starting this lovely young horse and giving him the correct foundations to allow him to excel in whichever direction his owners choose to take him.

Thank you, Paul and Bec, for entrusting me with such an important job. I’m incredibly proud to have started Titan — he’s an absolute gem and will always be welcome back. ❤️

Elemer Showman 🥰

It makes me incredibly proud to see my stallion’s progeny excelling in exactly what they were bred to do.

Today, one of his offspring took out the Ridden Clydesdale class at Sydney Royal — a truly rewarding result and a testament to the strength, temperament, and quality consistently passed down.

Even more special is the legacy behind it, with his sire having won this very class multiple times himself. To see that line continue to perform at such a high level is something I’m very proud of.

Congratulations to all involved and helped out today — a fantastic achievement.

A massive thank you to his owners for entrusting him with me to train and be part of my show team and a huge heartfelt congratulations.
