Been working on replenishing my sauces. Beautiful ripe tomatoes to make the Nana’s Tomato Sauce. It’s a great season for tomatoes. I’m always grateful to Pete (Peats Ridge )for good tomatoes. And at last capsicums are not too expensive to make the the Sweet Chilli, and black plums were sweet & meaty & perfect for a Spicy Plum sauce. I’ll be at Gosford The Central Coast Farmers Market on Sunday. Come and have a chat with our friendly stallholders!

I’ll be at Ourimbah Markets on Sunday & I’ve been busy since I saw you last year. Of course it’s summer & there’s all sorts of yummy things for me to create jams. & chutneys. Here’s a few! Come & see me for a browse @ a chat. Today I made a Spicy Plum sauce which i havent even photographed! (It’s cooling)

Sorry to tell you all that Norah Head Market is cancelled tomorrow due to inclement weather. Could be dangerous & destructive.

The Central Coast Farmers Market. I’m looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday & the following sunday (21st). Pete from Peats Ridge Harvest grew some fabulous strawberries for me & I’ve made one of your favourites Strawberry Pear & Passionfruit Jam. Last lot I made Strawberry & Rhubarb (Pete’s as well) which ran out the door!
New chutney which has also been popular is Beetroot & Horseradish. Reminds me of my Dad who grew our horseradish under the Lily of the Valley. I often had the job of grating it - it hasn’t got any easier! Cleans out the sinuses! How the hell did anyone find out about the joys of horseradish?
