EDIT: HEAVY BLACK LEAD CHAINS ⛓️ ARE NOW IN STOCK!
Its been an eventful 2 weeks in the workshop!! Lots of rope sheep halters, some leather cattle halters, the ducklings 🐥 are growing like weeds since they hatched, the cats are loving the outdoors and I got to have a lovely mental health weekend on the Gold Coast and actually got my feet wet!! I also tried to slice off part of a finger 🤦‍♀️🙄 that has thankfully healed without stitches (this time)🤣🤣🤣
It has also been tinged with sadness at the passing of one of my mentors in leatherwork Peter Main. A legend who had a gift like no other for achieving the impossible with leather art....farewell my friend 😢

So I'm still in shock but absolutely thrilled!! Results from Ekka leatherwork.. 1st in Heavy Horse Harness and Best Leatherwork Exhibit!!
To say I'm thrilled is an understatement 😱🎊🏆🥇😁

Well what a finish to a couple of very long weeks!! All orders for Ekka now finished and being posted on Monday, my entry for Ekka leathercraft section nearly finished and just another belt to plait before Wednesday and I'm all good. I think 🤔 🤣 💖
Oh and who's going to walk away with the stunning black leather halter for overall Highpoint Junior Exhibit in the Caboolture Mazda Beef Grand Prix?? Photo 7 is waiting for you!! ❤️

Well.....we've hit the ground running and it's certainly been quite the ride since we reopened!!! I did say the new workbench might need tweaking...it survived the first leather halter, but not the next 16 🤣🤣🤣
There has been lots of things happening - the new screens have been fitted to my verandah and the cat netting hung so the gremlins now have a safe outdoor spot, one of my 6ft tanks in the workshop emptied half its water one night onto the floor (450 litres of water and one cranky Oscar fish...but that's another story!!), the Caboolture Mazda Beef Grand Prix led section has been completed, plenty of orders sent out as well. Now just to get my entries for Ekka completed before July 30th and in to the show!!

🏁 𝐖𝐞'𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲.

All exhibits have now been weighed in ahead of tomorrow's inaugural Caboolture Mazda Beef Grand Prix.

With entries ranging from lightweight exhibits right through to an impressive 626kg, spread across 9 weight classes, tomorrow's judges have an incredible lineup in front of them.

The overall quality of the cattle has exceeded our expectations, and choosing class winners, division champions and ultimately the Grand Champion Led Exhibit is going to be no easy task.

One thing is for certain, whoever drives away in the brand-new Mazda BT-50, proudly provided by Caboolture Mazda, will have truly earned it.

For those following along from home or watching via the StockLive live stream, we'll publish the exhibit list by class a little later on so you can easily keep track of the competition and follow your favourite exhibits throughout the day.

The stage is set for what promises to be an outstanding day of competition.

Good luck to all exhibitors. We can't wait to see it unfold.

I will be there with a small amount of stock premade - slip halters, plain hackamores and hackamores with leather nosebands. And nosedogs in brass, stainless steel and black!! I also have some horse reins and halters available. If there is something in particular you want me to bring please message me EARLY this week otherwise I won't have time to make it. I won't have any leather halters available on the day but the order book is always open!!
Don't forget your cash on the day (I don't have eftpos) or you can also use PayID.
