Spring drop “W” heifers are doing well. It’s the first time in quite some time that the heifer weaners have had decent feed for winter. Most of these heifers are Wirruna Shea S222 and Yavenvale Trump Card T350 daughters.

Sired by Tobruk Southern Cross S15 and out of Days Fancy N015, the young sire has a phenomenal EBV profile, including 200, 400 and 600 day growth figures in the top 3 per cent of the breed, an eye muscle area of +8.3sqcm or top 2 per cent and top 5% IMF. Yavenvale has used all the sires in this bull's pedigree - Debarry Eden, South Bukalong Wallace and Glentrevor Trust. "So we know how good those cows can be from Landlord ," James said. The strength of the maternal side of this bull was a real draw card. Days Fancy N015 has 44 registered progeny and her mother ( who has 47 progeny )is the dam of all the Days Godfather bulls.

This Matariki Nautical son, Yavenvale Unbelieveable U480 (AI) (PP), sold for $24,000 to Eddie Sellers and daughter Lucy Sellers, Bendoc Park Poll Herefords, Bendoc, Vic, at the 2025 autumn bull sale. Semen rights were sold to Andy Denham, Stoneburn Herefords, New Zealand. Nautical genetics have had a massive impact on the genetic progression of our herd.
