Hi Folks, it’s that time of year again when your honey might crystallise due to the cold.
Just remember it is a natural process and it’s still delicious to eat. Try it in cakes and hot drinks.

Will my honey crystallize?
Honey crystallization, often referred to as granulation, is a natural phenomenon by which honey turns from a liquid to a semi-solid with a granular composition.
People tend to assume that if honey starts crystallizing then it is due to poor quality, or bad storage i.e. going 'off', or it must not be natural or is adulterated in some way. In fact, the opposite is true. If your honey does not start to crystallize, then you can pretty well guarantee that the honey has been adulterated with heat, or diluted, or just mucked with somehow.
Crystallization is an indication that it is pure natural honey. Below is the same type of honey, just at different stages of crystallisation. Enjoy either way .... it’s as nature intended!

Max Chentrens March 19, 2018 0 Comments Mountain Chefs recently came across some stunning honey that is produced locally by Rachael Appleton at Bee Tempted Honey in Blackheath. We asked around town and found her to get the skinny on the honey business in the Mountains. So what got you into the honey...
Late summer hive.
It's a new year and that means a new website!
Since inception, we folk at Bee Tempted Honey have stuck with tradition. Wanting to do the best by the bees, our honey is lovingly created by our furry little workers in Warre hives. As this is a slow process, we also use Langstroth to ensure supply.
Yum, cristalizing honey as nature intended it to be.
If you prefer your honey runny, just place the jar in a bowl of hot water about 35 degrees should do it and watch the transformation back to runny.
Our honey is the way nature intended it to be. Raw fresh and yummy!
Storm coming!
