Station Shoeing Schools QLD/NT/WA March-September each year and general Shoeing Schools October-February for NSW/VIC/SA in the off season. Horse-shoeing clinics being offered in Australia for station hands, Stockman’s Challenge participants, and for those who shoe their own horses for polocrosse, camp drafting, station work or pleasure. Each clinic will consist of theory, demonstrations and practi

cal hands-on instruction, with a focus on increasing your efficiency, learning how to assess feet in order to simplify the trimming process, removing the mystery from shoe shaping and applying a method that allows self-evaluation and continual improvement of successive shoeing jobs. I enjoy visiting stations right across Australia, but it always feels like home to get back to the Kimberley since my time there in the stock camp back in the 90s.

It's great to be involved with the enthusiastic KAPCO crew at Myroodah, shoeing horses by day, and singing and playing guitar by night.

There are a few talented musicians hidden there amongst the boabs along the Fitzroy River - I've definitely got a bit of practice to do before next year.🙂
