🥇GOLD for Stockyard Gold 🥇

Stockyard Gold has once again claimed the top award for the Open Class at the Royal Queensland Branded Beef Competition for the second year in a row. Results were announced on Friday 17 May at an event that showcased Australia’s finest producers across dairy, wine, beef, lamb and beef.

Stockyard Gold was judged on five criteria including appearance, tenderness, flavour, juiciness and overall liking. The winning product scored a total of 89.3 (from a possible 100), almost 8 points clear of the next best entry in the Open Class.

We're so proud of this achievement! We've been producing Stockyard Gold since the mid-90s and our team's pursuit of consistent excellence is reaping the rewards. It's no mean feat to produce an award-winning product, especially against so many other entrants in these awards, let alone to be doing it for 3 decades. We hope this confirms our customers are receiving some of Australia's best beef, and they are just as proud to serve it on their dining tables the world over.

Three simple steps to a crowd-pleasing steak! 🥩

1. Salt: Season the steak generously with salt to enhance the flavour of the beef.
2. Rest: Allow the seasoned steak to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This helps ensure even cooking.
3. Heat: Ensure your cooking surface (pan or grill) is hot before searing the steak. A hot surface creates a nice sear and locks in juices for a delicious steak!
