💚 A Difficult Goodbye...

After many months of trying to find a way forward, we've made the incredibly difficult decision to close Aunty Mary's Café.

Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we were unable to reach an agreement during lease negotiations that would allow the café to continue operating in a sustainable way.

This has not been an easy decision. Aunty Mary's Café was built with love, passion, and a dream of sharing authentic Goan flavours, great coffee, and a welcoming place for our community.

To every customer who visited us, supported us, recommended us, or simply stopped by for a coffee and a chat—thank you. Your support has meant the world to us, and we're truly grateful to have been part of your day.

❤️ While the café is closing, Basic Ingredients is continuing to operate as normal, and we'll remain committed to serving home bakers, bakeries, and food lovers across Australia.

Although this chapter is ending, we look forward to what the future holds.

As the year comes to an end, we just want to take a moment to say a huge thank you to all our customers for your incredible support, kindness, and encouragement throughout the year. It truly means the world to us.

This Christmas is extra special for us, We both (Virgil and Larissa) were blessed with a beautiful baby boy in early December, and we are so grateful for all the love and well wishes we’ve received 💙👶

We’ve taken a short break from our Goan events while we soak up this precious family time, but don’t worry — we’ll be back in the New Year with more Goan nights, flavours, and special events planned. 🌴🍛

Thank you for being part of our journey and our little community.
