Smokey chicken meatballs for a house full of hungry mouths.

This one was all about stretching a good recipe further. I skipped the eggplant, added extra mince to bump up the meatball count, and made extra pasta to bulk it all out. Same great flavour, just more of it, because feeding a family sometimes means adapting the recipe to fit the crowd, not the other way around.

The meatballs steamed away in the Varoma while the sauce did its thing in the bowl, then everything got portioned out into bowls big and small, tossed through pasta, sauce and a generous snow of parmesan. Look at that spread. A proper family dinner, sorted from one batch of mince and a bit of clever tweaking.

Here is what I love about cooking this way. You do not have to follow a recipe exactly. If you need more, bulk it out. If something is not to your taste or your kids will not eat it, leave it out. The machine does the heavy lifting either way, and you end up with a meal that actually works for your family instead of the one in the photo.

And with bowls for the littlest eaters right through to the grown up serves, everyone got fed from the one cook up, no separate meals, no extra dishes.

This is exactly the kind of practical, real life cooking I love sharing. Adaptable, generous, and made to fit a family, not the other way around.

My husband came home with four heads of broccoli. Four. So broccoli soup it was.

Look, when someone brings home that much of one vegetable, you either find a plan or you watch it go sad in the crisper. This felt like the better option. Straight into the Thermomix®, weighed as I went, blitzed into the smoothest, silkiest soup, and finished with a scatter of fresh chives on top. Simple, comforting, and it used up a good chunk of that broccoli mountain in one go.

Here is what I love about a soup like this. No standing over a pot stirring, no chunky bits that did not blend properly, just proper restaurant style smooth soup in minutes. The machine did the chopping, the cooking and the blending, all in the one bowl, while I got the rest of dinner sorted.

And with three more heads still sitting on the bench, I have got a feeling there is more broccoli soup, maybe a stir fry, and possibly a cheeky broccoli bake in our future this week. Nothing wasted, and a fridge full of veggies that will not go the way of the sad forgotten bag.

This is exactly the kind of everyday cooking that makes a big grocery haul feel manageable instead of overwhelming.

Curry noodle soup, and yes, that broth is exactly as good as it looks.

Rich golden broth, tender pork, rice noodles, sprouting broccoli, tomato and a big handful of fresh coriander on top. All built in the one bowl, straight from Cookidoo®, with the machine walking me through every step right down to the finishing touches.

Here is what I love about a meal like this. It tastes like something you would order at your favourite noodle spot, but it came together on my own bench with real, simple ingredients. The broth simmered and built its flavour while I got the toppings ready, so by the time it was time to serve, everything was hot, fresh and ready together.

And there is something so satisfying about a proper bowl of soup that is actually a full meal. Protein, veg, noodles, all in one, no extra sides needed, just a big spoon and a good appetite.

This is exactly the kind of dinner that makes me grateful for mine on a cooler evening. Warming, comforting, and made from scratch without the fuss of a dozen pots on the stove.

Dinner for one, sorted, and honestly, this might be my new favourite quick meal.

Protein packed pesto, made from leftover baby spinach, a handful of cashews, lime juice and olive oil, blitzed together in the bowl. Grated the parmesan fresh using the cutter attachment, straight from frozen, so no fillers or anti caking agents like you get in the pre grated stuff. Then stirred through cottage cheese to bump up the protein, tossed with pasta, peas and edamame, and topped with a proper snow shower of parmesan.

Here is what I love about a night like this. Kettle mode to get the pasta water going, pre wash mode to rinse everything out after, and open cooking mode to bring the pesto together exactly how I wanted it. A handful of features, used properly, and dinner for one came together without a single wasted step or extra dish.

This is proof you do not need to cook a big production to eat well. Using up what is in the fridge, a bit of protein snuck in, and a meal that actually tastes like you tried, even on a night when you are just cooking for yourself.

If you would love to see how these little features work together, come along to one of my free demos. No pressure at all, just a cuppa and a proper look. And if you have ever thought about doing what I do, sharing all this with a lovely community, I am always happy to chat about that too.

24 little muffins, straight from the recipe, straight into the lunchboxes.

Banana and oat mini muffins from Cookidoo®, batter mixed in seconds, poured into the tray with a few raisins tucked through, and out came a whole batch of golden little snacks cooling on the rack. No fuss, no fancy equipment, just a proper afternoon of batch baking sorted in well under an hour.

Here is why I love a recipe like this. It makes 24 in one go, so it is not just a treat, it is a whole week of school snacks, lunchbox fillers or a quick bite before sport, all made with real ingredients I can actually pronounce. Banana, oats, a bit of sweetness from the raisins, nothing hiding in there that I would not want my kids eating.

And because the machine mixes the batter for you, this is genuinely one of those recipes little ones can help with too. Pour, mix, spoon into the tray, done. No mess, no drama, and a proud little baker at the end of it.

This is exactly the kind of everyday baking that makes the week easier. A bit of time on a Sunday, and snacks are sorted without a single trip to the shops.

Apple & Cinnamon Muffins 🍎✨

There’s something about the smell of apple and cinnamon baking that makes the whole house feel like home. ❤️

I made these apple and cinnamon muffins in the Thermomix® this week, and they were such a simple little bake to have ready for the family.

The batter came together in the Thermomix®, with everything weighed and mixed in the one bowl. No pulling out half the kitchen, no measuring cups everywhere, and no standing there trying to get the mixture just right.

Then into the muffin tin and into the oven they went.

And look at them! 😍
Golden on the outside, lovely and soft inside, with little pieces of apple and that beautiful warmth from the cinnamon.

What I love about muffins like these is how practical they are.

They’re perfect for a quick breakfast, lunchboxes, an afternoon cuppa or when someone suddenly wanders into the kitchen asking, “Is there anything to eat?” 😂

And having Cookidoo® on the screen makes it even easier. I can search for a recipe, follow along step by step and let the Thermomix® guide me through the process.

It’s these everyday recipes that remind me why I love having a Thermomix®. You don’t need to be an expert baker or spend hours in the kitchen to make something from scratch.

Sometimes you just need a few ingredients, a Thermomix® and a craving for something warm and homemade. 🥰

If you’d love to see how easy everyday cooking and baking can be with a Thermomix®, come along to one of my free demos. No pressure at all — just a cuppa, a chat and a proper look at what it can do.

Are you an apple & cinnamon fan, or would you choose chocolate muffins every time? 👇
