Early in 2014 Jodi Brown of Norfolk Wealth Financial Planning and Lending services Trinity Beach, Carol Thomas of Elite Real Estate and Clare Kelly of Irish Organics identified the need for a networking group based on the Northern Beaches of Cairns. This led to us establishing an informal networking group for women which meet monthly on a Monday evening. We have welcomed a diverse group of women –
working women, some in business for themselves and others who are “almost” retired, some Mums looking to get back into the workforce. There are usually about 20 ladies who gather to enjoy a glass of wine, some lovely nibbles and network, provide ideas and support to each other whilst enjoying each other’s company. We have about 80 ladies on our invite list and some come every time others occasionally. There are no committees, no membership fees and no need to commit every month. We pay the venue directly on arrival and simply ask that you provide a firm RSVP to the event invitations and if something changes and you can’t come please let us know so we can advise the venue before they finalise catering.
