🇦🇺🇬🇧 Strangers on Earth
Australia: called “the second land of opportunities,” after America.
Opportunities or answers?! Opportunities to discover, to discover oneself, and to answer our existential questions.
We are eight billion in the world, yet only in solitude can we perceive, on our own, the meaning—or the meaninglessness—of things.
We work, yes. But is that really what matters?
Or is it the meaning of our limited time that we seek?
Time teaches that the more we use it wisely, the more we feel its importance and necessity.
It flows quickly.
It seems your mind wanders and reflects, spanning every existential realm.
Pain, purgation.
The mind, besieged, frees itself from everything: judgments, preconceptions, habits, ways of seeing life.
And rediscovers things you had already experienced long ago.
Reinterpretations from different perspectives of meaning and orientation:
training for empathy through the differences in how people perceive things.
After all, we are all strangers on this earth.
If we truly lived thinking we were just passing through, we would give more importance to many things.
Social status, for example, is something that blocks our perception.
You have to be low to truly understand your level.
The mind wanders much more in situations of lack.
Buddhist vicissitudes.
Of reincarnation, perhaps.
In the end, let us commit ourselves: let us empathize.
The world will be better for everyone.
Perhaps this is the true reincarnation—yet it is earthly.
I do not believe in reincarnation, but I do believe in karma, with the possibility of redemption.
Every action, whether intended or not, leaves a mark on ourselves and others, who interpret it in turn, either negatively or positively.
Scars that heal… or perhaps not.
The body slowly wears down, while the mind grows.
Looking at our scars reminds us who we are: alone and mortal.
We are only redeemable by ourselves, in easing our own pain.
Finding meaning is the meaning. Why all this effort otherwise?
Meaning goes beyond the loss of senses and awareness that capitalist society imposes; it must come from within ourselves.
It is easy and effortless to lean on pre-packaged solutions from others.
