Lots of rain here, 40mm overnight, 90mm this week. It’s crazy that elsewhere is drought declared and needing rain when we get so much. We have had a really dry season compared to last year, but the rain last night reminded us all of the floods this time last year. There’s a minor flood warning north of us, but we are in the clear for now. It’s looking so green here!

The sunset is always beautiful as we put the chooks to bed, but really hard to capture on this old iPhone! Our pampered poultry are safely in their coops!

At Beachside Markets - South West Rocks today: we are a local poultry farm, selling farm fresh pastured eggs - but we are very small with approximately 100 laying hens free to roam and eat pasture and bugs on 24 hectares. Too small to supply shops or restaurants. Randomly, we figured we could sell crochet chickens too! We have a few other creatures added to the farm shop now too! Come and see us at the markets today.

We are looking forward to Kempsey markets this weekend. As the days get shorter, we are getting fewer eggs, so we won’t have many of our beautiful pasture raised eggs, so get in early. We have been super busy crocheting chickens and a few other farm animals - our chickens-in-an-egg is our most popular item!
