Mount Compass Area School in South Australia have kept Renard Blonde Cattle updated on two steers donated earlier this year. Below is the latest post from the young student taking his role very seriously.

It is rewarding to see the enthusiasm of this student who has taken responsibility for preparing and working with the Steer "Bundy".

These opportunities are about much more than getting an animal ready for the show . They give young people valuable hands-on experience, build confidence and help encourage the next generation into agriculture.

Flynn's message.
Hi Ian and Ellie,
Just giving you another update on Bundy's progress.
As of 03/08, Bundy weighs 524kg and is currently averaging a daily weight gain (DWG) of 2.57kg/day. This is a great improvement from the previous update and puts him back above our target growth rate.
Bundy's behaviour continues to be excellent. He is very quiet to handle, and yesterday he was clipped for the first time, which he handled extremely well. He continues to develop nicely and is a pleasure to work with.
Based on his current growth, Bundy has a projected show liveweight of 603.67kg, with an estimated carcass weight of 325.98kg.
Overall, I’m very happy with how Bundy is progressing, and he continues to improve each week. I'm looking forward to seeing how he performs at the show.
Kind regards,
Flynn Edwards
