Very important to report! And to know the signs and symptoms!

News that a suspected case of H5N1 Bird Flu north of Newcastle reported by the NSW Government reminds us to continue to be vigilant and:

🛑 AVOID contact with sick or dead animals (and keep pets away)
📝 RECORD your location (and take a photo or video)
📞 REPORT it to the 24-hour Emergency Animal Disease Hotline on 1800 675 888

Governments, industry, and local animal welfare and poultry groups are meeting regularly to share information and continue preparedness efforts – with strong biosecurity and early detection our best defence.
