I had a question asked by a customer last night...
"Why do you promote other businesses like your own, aren't you scared they will go to them and not you?"
The simple answer, no.
The long answer?
Positive growth in a rural community literally benefits every single business in that community.
Not just financially, but shines a light on our area to positively impact:
- More jobs
- Bigger need for childcare
- More reasons to the government that we need our vital health care services
- Our property prices increase
- Our community gets to experience more, without needing to travel anywhere else
- Travellers find more reasons to visit our towns
It isn't a "who is better" race. Your mindset needs to always be "how can I make my town better". Because when we make where we live better, our business naturally grows financially and so does our community.
It doesn't matter if there are multiple cafes, multiple sourdough bakers, multiple caterers, multiple beauticians, multiple builders, multiple ag shops, multiple pubs in a small town.
What matters is how we positively shift our mindset so that everyone positively grows, together.
Below is a brekky plate I made today and it's all because new local business with.evie, has helped me question what I consume and how I nourish. This little plug benefits both businesses and helps promote growth in our town. Yes Just this simple post, is positive impact.
