A beautiful home loaf to kick start the weekend ✨

Our son has been begging for sourdough! Our home ovens just aren't keeping up with the high heats (this one took 10 more minutes to usual) so if you times that over a large bake.. that's so much extra time standing in the kitchen trying to get loaves to come out alright and half the time due to the back to back bakes they just weren't baking properly in the end anyway!

So so keen to have the bread oven arrive soon!

Atleast this old gal still got it 😉

Where in Adelaide can I grab a long handled pizza peel from please? Preferably under $60 with the squareish shaped peel not round? I can see BCF ect do them but they are round and $100+

Can get them online from catering wholesalers but postage $150+ due to the length of the handles 🫣 my bread oven is 1M deep so essentially need a 1M+ handle... Yep she's a huge oven 🥵🥵

The equipment list for the new oven is growing 😂..

But I discovered they make great sourdough pizza 🤤 may need to twist my arm to do some sourdough pizza nights hot fresh from the bread oven 😉

I'm not one to usually ask for help 🥹 but the beautiful Crystal Brook Show Committee are genuinely a great bunch of people.

Thank you to Morgan Potter vice president and Nicole Moroney treasurer, for covering Lauren's canteen shift so she can work in the van next weekend🙏🏽

We don't have family here, but it's so beautiful we have formed such genuine connections here in the brook.

At this stage acre and oven will be closed from the 20th December until the 22nd January to avoid the heat 🥵

THE BREAD OVEN IS ORDERED 🥹

While we didn't reach the goal at CB show, my amazing husband ended up buying the bread oven for me! Since January I told myself no personal funds would fund the business and it's self sustained itself since.. but it's been 8ish weeks of no sourdough and I just can't wait any longer 😂

It's unfortunately half the size of the one I wanted, but it was more expensive. The positive is I can stack 3 of these on top of each other so as my business grows my oven can too 🙌🏻 plus it's coming all the way from England, so we know it's built to last 👏🏽

I have also just done an order for Rye, Spelt and Wholemeal flour... To Introduce these Sourdoughs also 🎉

Now why is our bread $14 compared to cheaper local alternatives? Because we source locally grown grain in the mid north/Flinders and I personally drive a 4hr round trip to pick up the grain freshly milled! Because supporting local and providing my customers with fresh milled grain is important to me. It's keeping food on local farmers tables 🩷 True farm to table, because we purchase directly from the farmer!

Genuinely appreciate your support and patience while we had to unfortunately stop sourdough production due to my ovens not keeping up with the high heats sourdough needs.

But sourdough is back soon baby AND at higher numbers 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

So excited for this 🙌🏻

Not sure on ETA yet, will keep you updated and I will need to get Davidson Electrical out once we have the oven to get a 15amp internal PowerPoint installed.. unfortunately can't get this done prior as I need to see how the oven and cabinet sits in my bake space to determine location. Aiming for start of September though for bread to start pumping out 🙏🏽

Must be collected from the CB op shop TOMORROW THUR 13/8, during open hours (9ish to 3ish) and consumed by Saturday. Payment via CASH ONLY to the op shop register. Kept in op shop fridge, just ask at the register for one.

Prepared by acre and oven in a council approved home kitchen. All allergen and intolerance risks must be considered. Contains known allergens such as dairy, gluten & eggs.

A layered dessert of apple pie infused vanilla pudding, sweet biscuits & cinnamon 🤤

Supporting your local kids has never been sweeter!
