I was blessed to be invited a couple of weeks back to be a part of this reconciliation event.
I have been spinning a few life/ work plates and some of the production of balms and other products have not been on the top of the list.
I did manage to make some more balm and oils to top up the supply and share these with the staff at St John of God hospital while on their lunch break.
What a grand response. So many “healers” wanting to learn about other methods of alternative “remedies.”
I love making these and will try to promote my products more on this page.
I am not very good at posting, as in posting products through the post office. This has made me reluctant to share what I have.
But in saying this our local Darkan post office owner has been very patient with me and shown me the cheapest way to get products out to you.
So look out.
I will share what I have soon and hopefully if you’re interested will get them to you at a reasonable postage cost or be able to arrange to have them delivered to metro area.

Overnight rain.
Didn’t get any structural damage despite hearing the strong winds all night. I will have a walk around later and see if trees are down up the top of the property.
The deciduous trees, figs and almonds etc dropped nearly all their leaves due to the winds.
Checked the garden and noticed some my raised garden beds are upside down.
Seriously, how was that not noticed earlier?
Anyway the garlic doesn’t care. I’ll fix it once the garlic and beans are harvested.
Pleased the chicken shed was cleaned out with the help from visiting youngest daughter Shanika and her family. (Will they come back?)
It all went into the compost bay and had a good soak last night.
The chickens are enjoying fresh laid out hay.
Bambi the dorper sheep is due soon. She keeps escaping by pushing under our “winyarn” ( need a bit of tightening up in places), internal paddocks. Wonderful time of year to enjoy.

Yesterday lots of steps were noted on the “heart, fitness” app.
The sheep have been wandering next door so had to go and fetch them. .
Fences will be sorted soonish.
Lucky they like sheep cubes more than the fresh grass.

That’s what we like to see.

That’s what we like to see.

It’s raining. That’s all. Except maybe the day with a lovely sunrise.

When a broken tap and a leaking tap leads to a bathroom laundry fix. Would have liked to redo the whole lot but time, resources and the need to have water pipes working means it is a half Reno. Also “someone” needs to use the bathroom on her return so need to get it done.
Looking forward to the awesome plumbing work by Toby and Luke to magically plumb in correctly the hot and cold water to where it needs to go.
Sorry pics will have to wait as it’s not finished yet. Awesome help as always from Peter Ellen and Phillip. Meanwhile….
It was a bit chilly this morning.

Another weekend of one thing at a time.
Fixed the laneway fence so the sheep don’t sneak in and eat the trees that have managed to survive summer.
Three of five roosters that have been going on the road have been processed and in the freezer.
One gets to live. His name is Liv! The other small one is so minute he is under the radar. And doesn’t have a name. He is now called Radar.
And a house plank that was falling off has been fixed.
And garlic is sprouting. And and and …

The vegie garden is being redeveloped a couple of rows at a time. Going to include some raised beds to mix it up. About 240 cloves of Garlic were planted. One lot has been planted in a raised bed and the other in the ground in one of the rows. It was pretty wet and we got soaked through. Grateful for rain always.
The rest from last years crop will be used in cooking and some may be dehydrated for making garlic salt.
Dwarf beans have been planted in one raised garden bed. They are cute plants that keep on giving. They are a good addition to many meals but are delightful eaten off the bush
A couple of finger limes limes have been planted on the edge of the garden. The couch grass is being a bit lush in some places it’s not wanted. Working on how to manage that naturally.

The syntropic rows had a few of the gifted plants added in. There are always more to plant.
Bambi has been pushing under the fence to let herself out of night paddock each morning.
That has been secured.
Next project might be more plumbing on one of the cottages. Market place is being helpful in providing basin options for a small space.

Grateful for firewood and wood stoves. The slow combustion that was in cottage four ( Brown/ Jarrah), was removed and replaced with the green restored Metters. Brown stove is a Homesteader that keeps cottage two ( Grannies) homestead warm and cooked dinner last night.

Wow. Had to go to Perth, with the trailer to return a couch and chairs. Musical couches is not quite over yet! Work Appointment got changed as I was pulled up by a motorist who said one of the lights wasn’t working so I had to get thPeter Fearnsthanks Peter Fearns).

That was able to be repaired and I finally ended up returning to Darkan. Got to Crossman and wow puddles on the road. 37 degrees still.
Got back and it seems we had a huge downpour as well. The leaves are all clean now. The ground is a bit moist. Yay. Beautiful sunset with a few flying ants captured as little dots of light.
( rainbow is at Williams on way back).
Little lambs may have been sorted yesterday so they don’t become rams. Poor babies. But they all ok following mum around this morning.
