๐Ÿ” A little note about our website photosโ€ฆ

Yes, you may still spot the occasional hilariously obvious AI chicken lurking on our website ๐Ÿ˜‚ These were added as placeholders when our lovely web designer built the site, and for now, weโ€™re perfectly happy for them to stay while we gradually replace them with photos of our own breeding birds.

Weโ€™ve already updated lots of them, but weโ€™re a busy family with kids, a baby and a LOT of chickens โ€” so weโ€™d rather wait until we have the time to take a beautiful, clear photo than put up a poor-quality one just for the sake of ticking a box.

Youโ€™ll also notice that we love having a bit of fun with pretty AI garden backgrounds behind photos of our REAL breeding birds ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ” While the background might get a glow-up, the chicken doesnโ€™t! We take care to ensure the bird itself remains true to the original photo, so what you see is an accurate representation of the birds in our breeding pens.

Weโ€™re all pretty accustomed to ordering a burger that looks absolutely nothing like the advertisement ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ” Weโ€™d rather do the opposite โ€” your chicken might arrive without the gorgeous garden backdrop, but it should look pretty similar to the one you saw on our website! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ”

And if youโ€™d ever like to see the original photo โ€” fencing, feeders, dirt, chicken poo and all ๐Ÿ˜‚ โ€” just ask! Weโ€™re always happy to rummage through the camera roll and send it through.

Likewise, if youโ€™re interested in a breed whose website photo hasnโ€™t been updated yet, send us a message. Weโ€™re always happy to duck out to the pens and grab you a quick happy snap of the actual breeding team. ๐Ÿ˜Š

So yes, the occasional mythical AI chook will remain for now coz we do what we want ๐Ÿ˜‚ Real photos are being added as time allows, and weโ€™re having plenty of fun making their backgrounds a little prettier along the way.
