I don’t know about your family but ours is feeling the winter blues since the weather has turned to winter proper. So to turn those frowns upside down, we’re inviting you to come and celebrate the season at our winter solstice BBQ.

Held at the stunning venue near Terang, Keayang Maar Vineyard’s Winter BBQ is Family friendly and wearing your winter woollens is strongly encouraged. It’ll be a fun afternoon out - like a holiday but not far from home. The perfect way to kick off the mid year school hols or have a long awaited catch up with friends (no cooking or cleaning required)

This years winter solstice BBQ features great music from MixTape Trio, delicious wine from Keayang Maar Vineyard and slow cooked BBQ bowls from Sun Bear BBQ (pairs amazingly with our Cab Sauv!).

Food from 12pm
Music from 2pm
Wine, drinks + snacks all day.

Since retiring from the dairy, Barry and Jerram Wurlod + family at Keayang Maar, proudly make all our wines on site at Dixie. Wine is made using our own volcanic grown grapes. 🍇

Interesting things are always shared at our book clubs, and this afternoon's WINE + WORDS with Keayang Maar Vineyard was no exception, with a lovely regular customer, Susan, bringing her Italian pizelle maker to our baking-themed meeting.

Our next no-stress book club in Dixie will be 'Short stories and slim reads' on Sunday 9th August - book now via our Events tab!

Every good vineyard needs a vine dog. Sadly today we said goodbye to one of the best: Devo, our whippet. A great dog named for a great band.

He spent most of his time at the cellar door - well most of his time actually, asleep. His job was to show everyone how to activate relax mode and he was always up for the task! Stretched out in the sun or curled up under a blanket by the heater.

He lived well, died well and will leave a whippet sized whole in our lives, in the way only a much loved family pet can.
