Back at it again with Smoked on Depot🔥

Good loord these tenders. I think this is the moistest meat I have ever bitten into, almost to the point of dripping juice. The coating has this amazing smoky char, and the sauce is absolutely bangers with flavours of butter and roasted capsicum spice. 10/10 will be swinging by during their next lunch opening at Smoked on Depot. Shout out to Sean for the rec 🔥

I ain't gonna sugar coat it: it's a supermarket. Had supermarket things inside.

As a Woolies regular I was impressed by the size and added features like the large pick-n-mix range, macaroon and mochi fridge and wide range of brands. Best deal I found was Borg's Pastizzis 1kg pack on half price for $5 🥬🥐

2nd stop at The Village: pop pop tea

Cute, nice staff and good range of flavours. They also have a nice sweet treats cabinet. I tried a taro milk tea with black pearl for $7.50 and it was sweet and yummy as expected, only drawback is the paper straw got completely jammed up and squished immediately. Still we persist, and I am keen to return and try some hot tea options and different flavours like pistachio.

Also to consider is there was no lactose-free milk listed, but the shop is brand new and may have different options in the future 🙂

Really nice layout, easy to browse all the flavour options. Had a bunch of different flavours of hand rolls for $7, donburi bowls for aboud $11, and boxed cut rolls along with some hot appetisers like crab balls and takoyaki.

The hand roll I got was fresh and flavourful, but heed my words: Avoid the spicy teriyaki donburi. When I say this thing was HOT hot, I mean worse than buldak levels of burning in my mouth that left me wimpering and shoving bread down my throat. I'm sure under that sauce was a nice juicy chicken, but my bum doesn't care 😭

My recommendation: if you've never tried Haagen daaz Salted caramel, it's honestly one of the best quality and most flavourful icecreams I've even had. So decadent and so hard to put down once you start 🫠
