Stopped into spotlight carpark for a stall I hadn't seen before, Jackie’s Kitchen. Open today until 8:30pm.
I can usually only get these in Sydney so I was very happy, and the flavour and meat was up to par.
The spread included potato spirals, meats, fishcake, meat balls, mushrooms and more that aren't listed in the flyer. I went with lamb and beef, love the cumin and chili flavours and there's something so addictive about the flavour of hot oil. The meat had quite a lot of fat making it pretty juicy, with the occasional gristle. The sauce is quite spicy especially after a few in a row, so water is recommended.

Overall very tasty, maybe not as tender or high quality as some Sydney stores but a yummy treat 😋.

Tucked up in bed with a box of Cluckin Canes to round out a great evening. The buttered bread is like crack, great creamy sauce with lots of flavour and the tenders have a nice buttery coating. Whole meal slaps and is super comforting and just goes together so well. Nothing like carbs and salt to fill the soul, and I liked this box more than some of the other "dupe" meals I've tried.
Also big thanks to the ladies in the truck, absolutely slammed tonight but they were hustling so hard and still smiling in the chaos. Legends 💪🐔

Obseeeeesed with Mama Sela's Polynesian Treats Mango Otai. After a shameless google in line I realised it has real fruit shreds floating through it which I thought would be offputting, but when I tell you this is like fricken nectar. I can barely stop drinking to type, and the flavours of juicy apple, mango and pinapple are blending so well, with chewable crisp apple like sprinkles in every gulp. The bbq plates look absolutely banging and are exploding out of the containers. 10/10

Price update: Had a geez at most of the menus, and pleasantly suprised to see most mains for an even $20. Some simpler burgers and the pizza stall are $16-18, and a share plate of bbq meats or chicken fare are $35-40 for 2 or so people 🙏

Digesting my first stop of Aussie NightMarkets before heading back into the fray ✊️

Fairly good turn out here at the showground, and feeling warm but not humid. You've got the usual brisket, cheeseburger, bao, pizza and dumpling stores along with a host of good looking desserts, but I haven't noticed Birria Toastie or Mama's Polynesian before. Never heard of Otai before but the pictures are very enticing.
Started with a taco set from Tijuana for $18, good hit of chilli from the salsa and a good blend of ingredients. Never excited to see cold grated cheese, but a filling first course.
