Thank you to SBS for sharing not just our event, but the deeper message behind it.

Through this Lunar Festival, we aimed to celebrate Korean tradition, cultural experiences, and multicultural harmony.

More importantly, KoreaTown Australia chair Jong Hoon Park hope the second generation growing up in Australia can better understand Korea — its heritage, its stories, and its identity — and feel proud of who they are.

The animation, The Mal, the performances, and the lantern parade were all created with this purpose in mind: to build and strengthen Korean culture for the next generation.

Get ready, Eastwood — the streets are alive with light, culture, and celebration! Join us at Koreatown Madang Stage for a day full of unforgettable experiences.

🎉 What to expect:
12:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Lantern Workshop – make your own lantern and take part in a beloved tradition!
4:00 PM: Lantern Parade – light up Koreatown with your lantern and join the procession!
Hanbok Experience Zone – try on traditional Korean attire and immerse yourself in culture
Cultural Performances – all-day entertainment on the K-Madang Stage
Food Stalls – taste authentic Korean delights
