Honey Moon Vineyard is a small, vibrant, vineyard situated in the high ridges of Echunga in the Adelaide Hills, ten minutes’ drive from either Hahndorf or Mount Barker, run by Vignerons and Winemakers, Jane Bromley and Hylton McLean.

Belated Easter greetings from our patch of the .
We have our own “in house” bunnies, of course.
And, unusual for this time in our calendar, we had the pleasure of hosting a private tasting for a lovely group … we love the aftermath pics … the energy of shared conversation, food, wine
and conviviality still humming. Good for the soul.
We pressed off our pinot, another small step in a longer story.
For the shiraz - we gently poked and prodded,
🤷‍♀️”are you ready yet?”
🍇 “no, not quite 🤔”
Easter always seems to carry these feelings of promise and of things not finished but well underway.
And the light seems to always be beautiful at dawn and dusk.

A few happy snaps from our pinot harvest
All bunches are now in and on their way to becoming wines for the future. 🍷🥂
Lots of colour and movement, along with the rediscovery of muscles needed for lifting buckets and plunging ferments. 🏋️‍♂️💪
Shiraz - it’s a waiting game. Canopies remain mostly healthy and happy. Flavours are developing beautifully… but the grapes aren’t quite ready yet. 🤞the weather remains benign for a few more days… like today… good for ripening and morale. 🍇🥾💃🕺🪩✨

Since we picked part of our pinot vineyard for sparkling at the end of Feb, the vines have asked for patience with the rest.
They’re welcome ❤️🍇
As always, there’s plenty of things going on and it has been very nice being able to be part of Adelaide’s Mad March (rather than just our own Mad Vintage). be among
But our eyes and attention - always fully on the fruit at this time of the year.
More pinot will be harvested on Monday and then the rest will follow nicely, hopefully 🙏.

On Fri 8 and Sat 9 May
we will join the talented team at
A Prayer for the Wild at Heart
for their Tasting Australia dinners.

French-born chef Stéphane Brizard’s elegant, classically inspired cooking will be paired with a selection of our méthode traditionnelle sparkling wines, table wines and a fortified, chosen by sommelier Mathilde Tytgat. ✨

We are looking forward to it very much and will be there both nights. Please join us!

Here we are, halfway through March and we still are waiting to pick the rest of our pinot noir for dry red. Thankfully the mild conditions are optimal for flavour development and our vines are happy to cruise along.
Meanwhile, the 🪄 ✨ of making wine has transformed our earlier harvest of pinot for sparkling into a lovely young wine that captures all the vitality and delicate flavours that we loved in the vineyard.
It is turning out to be a late harvest for all varieties…so we’re enjoying these mild and sunny Autumn days and are hoping for many more to come. 🍇🥾🫟💃🕺🪩

Vintage. Such a magic time. More pinot coming off this week for our Pinot Noir ~ Extra red table wine. More lovely aromas of fermentation. More feelings of positive anticipation. The vines are LOVING this mild autumn weather. 🍇🥾💃🕺🪩🍷
