🍂Billy’s running commentary on a pretty special delivery we took today!

🍂The experts at Falls Livestock Transport have done a terrific job touring Miss K.B.V Vixen down through the Countryside, eventually landing in Eumungerie. Thank you for delivering her sale and sound📍

🍂We purchased Vixen as Lot 13 in the recent KBV Simmental Stud female sale, and we are absolutely smitten. We thank Marty and Stephen again for offering Vixen and the endless support they’ve shown to us here at Country Style. They’ve guided us through many challenges and experiences, and are a true part of the reason we are where we are today. Their support to the Simmental breed, especially the Youth programs, is highly valued, and never goes unseen.

🍂She offloaded, took a sticky beat (was quickly relieved to spot plenty of red and white faces), and hooked into some hay shortly after. We’re super impressed with the quality of animal she is, and have no doubt she’ll make a truly exciting impact to our program. Whilst purchasing stock hasn’t really been on our cards due to how dry we’ve been, when we are able to support our stock, there are some opportunities we can’t miss. Thank you again to everyone who made everything fall together to make this purchase work, endless appreciation.

The man of the moment! This bull is just next level. A huge congratulations to the Baldry family from Tennysonvale Simmental Fleckviehs for a huge achievement, extremely well deserved.

We had the honour of standing in the Grand Champion line up with Verge, where he took out top honours. He then went on to perform one of the most outstanding interbreed wins we’ve seen to date!

He is something incredibly special, a real asset to the breed!

Judging day has finally come to a close and what a day it was!

We could not have been happier with the outcome, with our big mate Bandeeka Unicorn winning Senior Champion Simmental/Fleckvieh Bull!

A huge thank you to Tammie Robinson for your judging expertise, support and time. It was lovely having the opportunity to show our cattle and receive your professional opinion.

🌾We had a terrific day at Binnaway show. We are always so incredibly excited to spend much needed time with family and friends, and Binnaway is no exception to that rule!

🌾Thank you to all who made the day possible, and congratulations to all competitors on a terrific event. Thank you to our team who got us through the day, couldnt have done it without you guys.

🌾We had a great day in the ring, rounding out the day gratefully being awarded Supreme Beef Exhibit of the show with ‘Country Style Vegas Baby’.

🌾Vegas Baby will be apart of an exciting, secret, new initiative later this year, which we are looking forward to announcing soon.

✨WE’RE CHASING A WORKER FOR SYDNEY✨

Now that Ms Faithy will be drinking her shampas and ribboning pumpkins, we’re a worker down for Sydney Royal!

We’re looking for a worker or two to join our 2026 Team. We’re chasing someone who is-
✨An open minded, hard working, honest, cattle passionate individual. Someone who can handle pressure, who can move quick on their feet and can take initiative where needed.
✨Has experience showing, prepping and caring for show stock, in large numbers would be suitable too (up to 20 head)
✨Available for the full show (28/3/2026-6/4/2026)
✨Is competent working on their own and in a team environment

Please be mindful before inquiring, this isn’t a holiday. There will be down time, there will be time to relax, however, these are long days. This role exhibits complete dedication to the cattle. There will be time to socialise, but cattle are the priority and always come first. This is a paid position, and your own loft and food will be supplied. We are an energetic, fun, family motivated team, where you’ll make plenty of memories.

We do have a couple of local shows upcoming that, if a suitable candidate wanted to have a try, you’re welcome to come and have a feel for the team. Our beautiful Faith Green will be at Sydney Royal, but maybe not where she’ll usually be! This girl is the perfect example of a great, genuine human being. We couldn’t think of a more deserving person to win this award! Congratulations Faithy!

So maybe now instead of cleaning beds, she’ll be putting on her lippy and straightening her sash🤩

We’ve had to answer one of the hardest questions no farmer wants to face.

“Is it time to destock?”

And for us, that’s now. We’re saddened to finally announce we’ve dispersed the large majority of our black herd. Black Simmental’s are an innovative sector of the breed. They’re marketable, they’re utilisable. Unfortunately we’re dealing with some of the most serious ‘drought like’ conditions since 2019, as are many.

Some may believe this decision is silly. Is stepping in the wrong direction. Is greedy. For us, this decision comes down to ensuring our stock get the opportunity for the upmost treatment. We’d love to see the cattle thrive, to know they can live out their lives as the fantastic mothers we know they will be. If you told us 6 months ago this would be where we’re at, we’d call ourselves crazy, as we’d just expanded our black numbers immensely. Now we prioritise welfare.

4 of our 6 dams are completely dried up, the other two well on their way, there isn’t a blade of green grass in sight.

We’ve got our last 10 purebred registered females available on AuctionsPlus for tomorrow’s Eastern State Sale. These females are quality without a doubt. 8 heifers, PTIC to SBS Vincent V025, a young sire with length for days and plenty of eye appeal. 2 cows, PTIC to Vincent also. This is an opportunity to purchase some truly special females that without a doubt will integrated genetic advantage straight into your herd. It’s not where we wish to see them, we’d much rather see them in our paddock, but it’s the right decision, for us and especially for them.
