We decided to try a different approach to advertising on Seek. So we sponsored the local Wellington Show (keep money local etc), and enjoyed chatting to people about our business, what we do & why we do it.
We got so caught up supervising the kids in making popcorn & showing the pet pig in the Pet Parade…
we forgot to actually put a sign up saying “we are hiring for a spray-rig operator”. 🫣
Anyhooo… we will now pop up on our socials the advert we sent to Jan (the show secretary) back in late January - when Jan was wanting the farm business logo for the show program.
We have filled the role of potato processing co-ordinator (yah!!) but genuinely looking to add to the team a full-time spray rig operator 🚜
Happy to have this person look after other things too (silo complex, industrial corn dryer facility, jump on the spud wash line…fencing, livestock work etc etc - there is heaps of variety if you want variety…). But the main gig we are recruiting for is being “the chief of the spray-rigs”.
This new role will take our team from 9 to 10 staff.
And (just for full disclosure) no-one is allowed to drive Rolf’s tractor 🚜
There was this one time someone (no longer working with us) ate a can of tuna 🐠 whilst driver a tractor & forgot about it. Rolf advised that’s not on. We agreed 🤣
That person was gently moved on & Rolf always gets the newest tractor.
You too, can seek such quirky things. It’s how we roll… 😜
Give Matt or Brendo a buzz if you are keen to chat ☎️ Brendo is on 0428 850 020 & Matt is on 0428 850 075
Experience with spraying essential (and therefore, you can expect to be paid well ✅)
🏡 I’m (Claire here…) off to try and build another few houses on the farmland for staff.
Seems everyone likes to live in a beautiful house on the farms. (Fair enough… it is a great way to raise kids & having space is a true joy)
But to be upfront, this new role doesn’t include housing on farm (yet).
Cheers!
