📢 Grow Wise Microgreens is having a short break in our orders and deliveries.

It’s been a long while since we’ve had some time off so we decided to take some family time to travel after next week’s AMP Foundation Sydney Showcase.

After tomorrow’s delivery we won’t be growing again until mid November; order close will be 18th Nov for delivery on 30th Nov. Our website will turn off orders (for grow kits also) and we’ll be back on board the middle of next month.

I love growing and getting our products to you all, AND we have some exciting things in the works for our small business in the coming months! With such a busy year already for 2026 I am really happy to be stepping back for a few weeks to celebrate what we’ve achieved, rest, recharge and get inspired for 2027.

Thanks to YOU for following, liking, sharing and eating our microgreens, Grow Wise wouldn’t be what it is without you on board! 💚

Do you know what a possum pantry is?

It’s a community food share initiative launched by Community Connectors where open access pantries provide non-perishable food items to support students and local facing food insecurity.

Yesterday I was invited to speak at the launch of the community garden and Possum Pantry at the Bundaberg Neighbourhood Centre - what a morning!

Held in the fabulous play and learning space on Targo Street in Bundaberg, surrounded by families from the playgroup and a plethora of community support organisations I got to run a demo on sowing and growing microgreens and offering tasters.

It’s been so amazing to be involved in events like this. Not only do I get to spread the microgreens joy through our grow packs (provided generously to families by Wide Bay Kids) but I get to meet so many amazing people working to improve food security and social connection in our local town of Bundaberg.

I also got a tour of the kitchen fit-out where the CWA Country Kitchens crew run workshops and cook hundreds of meals each month for our most vulnerable, and met some of the volunteers! Thanks for having me Renee Bock and the BNC.

🌱 Come and see us at the Gin Gin Seniors Expo!

This free event will be held at the Gin Gin Neighbourhood Centre to celebrate the important and essential roles seniors play. There is so much on offer in our community, and Grow Wise will be there with some microgreens fun!

We are hosting a “grow your own” table where you can learn a bit about growing your own food simply at home. Sow your own cup of microgreens to take home thanks to Tiny Greens Big Impact! We will also have some living microgreens and grow kits for sale on the day.

Have you heard the news? Grow Wise will be taking a break soon, and this is your last chance to order living microgreens until next month!

It’s also a tad earlier then our usual order close and delivery: place your order on our website by 9 pm this Monday 12th October and we will grow for delivery on FRIDAY 23rd October.

Our Microgreens are super fresh incredibly nutritious and this is the last chance to get some before our break! Our next order close will be mid November for a delivery on the 30th.

It’s been such a busy season in our small business so it’s great to stop and really reflect on everything we’ve done in the last year!

If so, Grow Wise Microgreens will supply exactly that so pop over to our website to make your order this week!

Orders received before this Wednesday 30th September will be grow and ready for delivery on Monday 12th October. There is no easier way to get the whole family adding fresh, nutrient dense food to their meals every day than having some living microgreens on the counter!

🧐 Look at these tiny broccoli shoots just out of blackout today, all fluffy with root hairs!

This is day 4 of growth for these microgreens and they’ve been in “blackout” until today, where they get a top water before sitting in our grow house (or a nice bright benchtop inside).

The fluffy bits are the root hairs that grow from the radicle (the first main root that emerges from the seed at germination). Root hairs are super fine and help the growing plant access water in these initial stages.

How do you tell between root hairs and mould? Well mould is more like spiderwebs, and spreads between roots and shoots. Root hairs = cute and fluffy, come from the root only.

🌱Market alert! We’ll be joining the Handmade Artisan Fraser Coast at the Brolga Theatre in Maryborough this Sunday for Spring Fling!

This is a fabulously curated shopping event with a hand-made focus, with amazing artisans and makers from Fraser Coast and beyond in a beautiful indoor space right by the Mary River.

This market is a true standout in our region, with live music, food and beverages, activities for kids and over 80 carefully curated market stalls.

Grow Wise is so excited to join in and we’ll have a whole lot of living microgreens, our microgreens grow kits and a special dispkay tray to celebrate something special…. 🤫
