Can I say there is never a dull moment for me.

I am here to introduce you to 4 precious little kitten that is given a chance in life.

It’s been a journey over the past week but watching these little babies grow each day, finding their own personalities and quirks is so beautiful.

I will be finding homes for these babies cause as much as i really really really want to I can’t keep them all.

I’m dreading for that time to come but in the meantime im enjoying and loving raising these babies up.

Yesterday the weather was beautiful and I got a whole heap done on the farm!

This is just a few things I got up too :)

First miss lass helped me bring feed to the tack room.

Mr Lucky helped me paint- more list inspect my work.

Baby Rebel is trying out his new halter, so lead training can start soon

My not so little pony Jasper did so well yesterday
He’s been coming in every day for his bit, and yesterday we added a roller put on him so he gets used to the pressure and the feel of wearing it.

To end the day, I went down the paddock to feed the Highland cow mums

Every week our beautiful swans get their water changed and they are absolutely loving it!

I could watch them all day in their boat.

Did you know: swans have a special oil gland near their tail, and they spread the oil over their feathers while preening to keep themselves waterproof!

Can you spot what not right?!

I’m usually not the one to post the hard and scary parts of my animals and what happens on the farm that is to hard to share but I feel like this story needs to be told and farm life definitely has its downers or should I say farm life has its mind of its own and you just have to go with it!

Lass is our first ever highland cow and she is what made us fall in love with the breed like how everyone else does when they see a fluffy cow.

Last week Monday our beautiful Lass had her beautiful baby girl Peach.
Lass and her baby were doing so well all week then Friday afternoon I came home from work and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. At some point during the day Lass had broken off one of her horn.

My brain went into overdrive thinking of all the possible reasons. The bleeding had stopped, lass was eating and being herself and most importantly the baby wasn’t hurt too.

So it was time mum and baby had to move up to the house. I’ve been in touch with a vet to make sure she gets the best treatment. I couldn’t imagine the pain from going through birth then having a broken horn.

It’s now been just over a week. Lass is loving house cow life with all the extra attention and baby Peach is getting stronger and growing.

Last week it’s been a busy week here on the farm and this story is still going so stay tuned!

We've waited years for a calf from our beautiful Lass, and she's finally given us a baby girl. 💕

She's also our first ever red female!
In all our years breeding Scottish Highland cattle, we've only ever had black females and orange males, so this one is extra special.

Everyone, meet Peach. 🍑

She's here to stay forever, and she'll be Lass's last baby. Mum and bub are both doing wonderfully.

People ask me what I got up to yesterday as I had the day off work……

I did a lot, but the biggest thing was feeding the baby Highlands their hay.

It was a mission and I was on my own.
the tailgate of the car didn’t want to go down, so it was time to come up with a plan.

I thought to myself,
“If Dad was here, what would he do?!
He would use the tractor but still what would he do in this case!!”
