Ganymede was bought impulsively (with little – read not any – homework) one afternoon in 2005 when galvanised into action in a violent and contrary response to an architect’s wildly excessive renovation estimate, Land in the Country was purchased instead. Before any building began over 3000 native trees were planted and this has become an ongoing project. The increased birds, frogs and wildlife th

Introducing Kane aka Hurri-Kane 🐾
We have a new nose in training! A rescue from , Zazu’s apprentice and our future truffle-sniffing star (we have faith!).

After graduating from canine academy, Kane is about to major in scent training/truffle snouting and we have high hopes for his debut in 2026.

For now, he’s busy perfecting his door opening skills (yes both ways!), stealing shoes, and racing around like a whirlwind. He’s called Hurri-Kane for a reason 🌀
