🚨 WE WERE ROBBED!! AND WE'RE ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS! 🚨
DEAR LOCALS,
A sincere warning we're not going to sugarcoat this one to avoid offending anyone! This needs to be called out!
On Sunday evening, 18 October, these two absolute pieces of f***s (for lack of a more derogatory term) decided it was perfectly acceptable to walk into our locally owned bottle shop, The Bottle-O Gregory Hills and help themselves to approximately $750 worth of stock.
Let me explain something to these two imbeciles.
We're a SMALL, LOCALLY OWNED BUSINESS. We're not some faceless multinational corporation with endless pockets.
We're local people trying to make an honest living. Trying to keep our doors open, employ locals, provide a service to our community, keep our shelves stocked, our beverages cold, our range fresh and exciting, and juggle the other hundred challenges that come with running a small business.
And then along come these two entitled parasites who think they're somehow owed something they haven't earned.
BUT HERE'S WHAT REALLY MAKES MY BLOOD BOIL.
These two males walked into our store on a Sunday evening when ONE FEMALE STAFF MEMBER WAS WORKING ALONE.
One woman.
Doing her job.
Trying to earn an honest dollar. Trying to better herself, develop her skills, support herself and serve the community she belongs to.
And these two cowards thought that was an acceptable environment in which to commit theft.
TWO MEN. ONE WOMAN WORKING ALONE.
Let that sink in.
Our staff should NEVER have to feel unsafe simply for turning up to work. Our business should be a safe place for our employees and customers alike.
And whether these two deliberately chose that moment because she was alone or not, the complete disregard for her, our business and our community is absolutely appalling.
AND TO THEIR PARENTS...
If you recognise your sons, I sincerely hope you're as disgusted as we are.
Where the hell is the respect? Where is the accountability? Where is the basic human decency?
At what point did we become a society where some people believe they're entitled to walk into somebody else's business and take whatever they please?
While the rest of us get up every morning, work our backsides off, pay our bills, pay our staff, pay our taxes and try to do the right thing?
I'm calling on our entire Gregory Hills community and surrounding suburbs to help identify these individuals.
POLICE HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED, AND VIDEO FOOTAGE AND STILL IMAGES HAVE BEEN PROVIDED.
If you recognise either of these individuals, please contact the police with any information that may assist their investigation. Don't confront anyone or take matters into your own hands.
And to the two responsible:
You haven't just stolen $750 worth of products.
You've stolen from a local family business. You've disrespected a hardworking woman who was simply doing her job. You've violated the trust and sense of safety that every person deserves in their workplace.
You are not tough. You are not clever. And there is absolutely nothing impressive about what you've done.
You deserve to be held accountable for your actions and to face the full consequences of the law.

WE WORK TOO DAMN HARD TO HAVE PEOPLE LIKE THIS TAKE ADVANTAGE OF US.

WE DESERVE BETTER. OUR STAFF DESERVE BETTER. OUR COMMUNITY DESERVES BETTER.
