Spring means one thing in the aviary 🐣 breeding season is on.

Breeding pairs have higher energy and protein needs than birds at rest, and it starts well before the eggs do. Grenfell Pigeon Mix Breed N Gro is built specifically for pigeons through breeding and growth (min. 18.83% protein), and we've got matched mixes for the rest of the aviary too: Budgie Mix and Canary Mix, both with a balanced oil content for healthy skin and feathering, and Small Parrot Mix for the smaller parrot varieties. Lush spring pasture is great for growth, but the rapid change from winter feed can catch cattle out 🌱 loose manure, digestive upset, and stock not converting all that green feed into the condition you'd expect.

Grenfell 16% Beef Pellet is built for cattle fattening and conditioning in the paddock, with balanced minerals, vitamins and an Acid Buf® rumen buffer to help settle digestion through the change.

If your cattle are grazing pasture rather than on a paddock ration, 16% Sheep & Cattle Nuts does the same job in a large 10mm nut that trail feeds well with minimal wastage.

Marking's done, lambs are weaned, and the next few weeks matter for both ends of the mob 🐑

Weaning is hard work behind the scenes: ewes have just come through lambing and lactation and need a chance to regain condition, while weaned lambs need to keep growing steadily without their mum's milk to fall back on.

We've got two feeds for exactly this stage: Grenfell Ewe & Lamb, a reliable pellet to help ewes bounce back in condition, and Grenfell Feedlot Lamb, a high-energy 16% protein pellet built for fattening weaned lambs in a feedlot situation over 6–8 weeks (fed alongside hay). Both FeedSafe accredited and milled locally.

A quick note: Feedlot Lamb is a feedlot fattening ration only — it's not suitable for lactating ewes, dogs, horses or other equids.
