Every good wholesome Ayurvedic dish starts with a dollop of ghee and this Asparagus & Barley stew is no different. Fresh grated ginger and spices are added to hot ghee and sautéed in a pot before the barley is added and cooked for around 40 minutes in home made stock. Silverbeet and asparagus are added at the end and cooked for a few minutes before serving with a drizzle of tamari. Delicious and so good for spring! I’ve never been a big steak eater myself but my husband’s been cooking them in tallow in a cast iron pan on the Weber BBQ lately, I opted for one for dinner the other night and I’m hooked! So funny because I got this photo and text from a friend the following day! Our neighbours mouths would be watering with the smell of steaks cooking in tallow 🤤
