A small family plot named "Theory" working with organic principles towards the goal of self sufficiency. Our little farm consists of a number of production areas including:

--25+ fruit trees which go into our dessert sauces, herbal teas and of course the family fruit bowl!
--Raised vege patches for our seasonal veges, herbs and chillis for making our sauces, teas and oils.
--On site licensed c

ommercial kitchen where we handmake 100% of the goods that we offer out to the public.
--A breeding program of Quails, Chickens, Ducks for year round protein and fresh eggs for markets
--A breeding program of Giant Rabbits and Miniature Pigs for year round protein production
--On site working Butchery in which we process our families protein supplies. Coming from an extensive history in high end food we aim to highlight the potential of home grown and locally sourced goods whilst providing the skills for all to be able to put them to use. We stock a range of handmade seasonal products from our own grown and/or locally sourced ingredients. We use no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives in our food or any synthetic additives in our body products. We also hope to share the skills to others through a set of interactive workshop experiences, from processing protein paddock to plate, to brewing a cold cider for a summer day and many others in between. For those already with stock of their own but unsure if they are wanting to process their own, we also provide mobile butchery to the local area (conditions apply).

Anxiety Over!

This is a thank you post to one particular customer who (hopefully sees this and) will know the impact they've had.

You: "I have half a jar from someone else at home so I shouldnt really"

Me: "It would be great to have your opinion given you know it"

You: ~tastes~ " Okay im getting that!"

Those 4 words, from yourself, told me more than I needed to know about our new black garlic salt.

The efforts have paid off.

Then today we sold out of the self labeled batch. Now looking back over the weekend what do I see but further proof, biggest seller: black garlic salt.

The numbers mean little, your words mean a lot.

We do what we do to be the best we can.
We dont take shortcuts.
We dont skimp on ingredients.
We dont settle for anything less than the best we can possibly make.

Your words tell me we are on that path.

Winter Weather = Dry Lips
Dry Lips = Lip Balm

At least thats the way it tends to go in our household!

This year, no more store bought, petrochemical solutions. This year we make the switch and delete another item from the shopping list.

Cue the beeswax, coconut oil and olive oil lip balms fresh off the press (well pour but you get the idea).

We will have a few freebies kicking around for review so if you're keen to have a try and give some honest feedback make sure to catch us sooner rather than later!

We have had a couple of new additions to the Theory workforce the past week and they're hard at it already.

Mowing
Weeding
Edging
Fertilizing

Best part is, they work for free!

Might return to our on-site, hands free, protein production mechanisms.....aka chickens....soon too. Miss the animal sounds while working in the kitchen.

The wonders of a connected world!

6pm yesterday - start to sketch out designs for a product stand...

8pm yesterday - start looking for a cad designer for a 3d print file...

9pm yesterday - designer locked in...

9pm today - first test print started...

Now we wait until morning to see the result and start the 2nd of 3 parts to our retail display stand. Then to print more.

Lots more.

Hopefully you'll see these bad boys out in your local boutique delis and artisan stores a little later in the year.
