Absolutely delighted to be sharing my delicious nursing tea blend with you. I’m currently breastfeeding 1 year old twins and previously fed our pre-schooler. I realised breastfeeding two babies at once would add challenges so in preparation, I took lactation biscuits to hospital with me which were fabulous. However, once our babies came home, there was no time to make biscuits. I looked at natural
alternatives that were quick, enjoyable and would assist in boosting my milk supply and discovered a sample of nursing tea. That evening my supply had increased and our two babies were much more settled. I found the taste rather unpalatable so coming up with my own delicious blend using Adelaide Hills lemon myrtle was the solution and it worked just as well! Each handmade cotton muslin tea bag contains the correct blend of high quality ingredients, allowing mothers time to nourish themselves at their busiest when they are focused on nourishing their babies. When caring for newborn and older babies, time is precious and occupied by other errands. It can sometimes feel impossible to even think about making a pot of loose leaf herbal tea. With Scrumptious Mummy, just boil the kettle, place a tea bag in a mug and pour in the boiling water. Brew for approximately 5 minutes, remove the teabag and enjoy your tea. My background is in the wine industry but while breastfeeding twins, I rarely have the opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine so Scrumptious Mummy has become my beverage of choice. I personally find it most helpful to enjoy the tea in late afternoon/early evening when your milk supply is naturally lower but you may prefer it at other times of the day. Recommended is 1-3 cups per day depending on your needs. It’s important to be consistent to avoid fluctuations in your supply. During a growth spurt, I often enjoy an extra cup of tea. I sincerely hope you enjoy and benefit from the tea as much as I do!
