What does it feel like to grow up learning how to cultivate, germinate, care for and harvest your own vegetables? I think the little managers face says it all. Having his grandma and gg here to teach him is yet another amazing step. What a crop so far this year.

The farm manager did a little harvest this morning. Sweet potatoes, tomatoes, sweet corn, snake beans, pole beans , snow peas and bahut chillies. He was very happy with his harvest.

Lots of late nights ahead as we build the taj mahal of chicken sheds. This will house up to approximately 60 chooks with a large outdoor run. Over time as our farm grows so too will our flock with the plan to become a sustainable free range egg farm here in Darwin along with our other enterprises. This year is marked as our year to build and develop. Time is short during the day so thankfully alex doesn’t mind the night shift. Few more nights and it will be ready to clad and be slid to its new place ready for the next batch of laying hens to arrive at the end of the week.
