With the hazelton cattle for a cure auction finishing up tomorrow arfternoon I thought I’d put up a post of some of our oldest redwings heifers of which are all PTIC or on their first calf, they are all well put together heifers with plenty of length and bone whilst still carrying great udders and underline’s and are beautifully feminine, we have high hopes for these females in creating a great base for our future red stud herd.

If your chasing you next AI/IVF sire please bid up on Redwings for a good cause, once these straws sell there won’t be another public release for a minimum of 12 months if not indefinitely.

Clukan Redwings was the top priced red bull of Big Country Brahman Sale in 2022 for $125,000. A deep and thick bull with bone to burn with a poll/scurr head as a bonus. He has bred the house down for us here at Cremona with his first daughters all calving around the 2 1/2 to 3 year old mark and his bulls have been showing great libido and producing great quality semen every time when tested just like their sire. All of his calves have carried the same calm demeanour, low birthweight and vigor you would expect from a top sire like himself. He has also bred a uniform line of calves every year, out of a variety of different types and blood-lined females. So far his first 5 sons sold at auction have averaged $7,700 and all females have been retain in house. He is well represented in the EBV department as well, with 14 out of 20 of his figures better than the breed average including 200, 400 (both in the Top 35% of the breed) 600 (Top 25%) day growths, mature cow weight (Top 20%), SS (Top 25%), DTC (Top 30%) and PNS (Top 40%).
