Dear Dads! Honor Her ❤️

It's so hard to accept that the girl you married is no longer the same. Her body has changed. Her mind has changed. She has cells from your baby still embedded in her. She has bones and muscles and skin that will never go back to how it was. She's been pushed to her limits and forced to expand. Forced to grow into a woman and guys, that's where we get it all wrong. We treat her like a girl. We think we get to be the same guy and live the same life.

Have the same standards and somehow we're unwilling to accept reality. That as fathers we need to grow too. That we need to expand our capacity to provide that we need to learn presence and patience and start demonstrating what ownership and leadership looks like. You're a human being who has demonstrated resilience and growth, so stop thinking that your best days are behind you and that your work is already done. If you feel run down and overworked, that doesn't mean you give up.

It means you can get stronger, You can get better, you can become more capable. When you've overcome your challenges and you look at yourself in the mirror, you can call yourself a man.
