There are a lot of ups and downs to running a business! Some weeks are epic - full of support, encouragement, enthusiasm and success. Other weeks are a bit slow, can play on your decision making and have you questioning your future. Unfortunately, I can no longer continue on this path of ups and downs. 

I wish I was closing AWS because I'm off on some epic worldwide adventure, but sadly that's not the case. As many other small businesses have experienced, I've seen a significant increase in the cost of ingredients, making it extremely hard for me to produce the high standard of meals that I wish to produce. Other meal delivery supplies and the fees attached to running a small business have also risen, which is making it very hard to keep a business running without heading into a loss.

We are all aware of old mate 'cozzie livs' and because of the rising costs of day to day life, I have decided to increase my hours in my healthcare role where I can count on a regular income. It makes me sad to end something I feel so passionate about, but unfortunately that is the current reality.

My last cook & delivery day will be Sunday July 21st 2024. Help me go out with a bang by placing an order. I would love to see more smiling faces as I drop off deliveries and end my AWS era on a high!

I'm sitting here sipping a coffee wondering how to put my thoughts into words and I don't know where to begin!

A Wholesome Serving started way back in 2016 when I was at Uni studying Nutrition & Food Science. A lecturer told my class that if we wanted to make a change in the nutrition industry we have to start by putting ourselves out there and speaking up. "Make a name for yourself and share your passion". So that's where AWS was born!

I started sharing the meals I would cook for myself on Instagram and later moved into writing blog posts. Pretty sure it was only a few friends and family who read my posts but I slowly grew confidance in sharing full recipes and nutrition info.

Once I finished Uni I didn't really know where to go next. I knew I didn't want to work in the Food Science industry and didn't think 1:1 consulting was for me, so I thought maybe cooking is a way I can put my skills & knowledge to good use as well as a practical way of helping people eat more plants!

From the images I shared online of my own home cooking, I received so many comments like "I wish you could cook for me" or "I wish I could eat like you" and this is what ideally gave me the idea of starting a meal delivery service.

I've enjoyed every second of the last 2.5 years and have learnt so much! Supplying meals each week to , catering for events such as baby showers, weddings and birthdays and of course my lovely online customers who ordered each week! Even if you were a once off order or only picked up 1 meal from the cafe - I appreciate you!

My last delivery day will be Sunday July 21st 2024. More details regarding why I have chosen to close will come soon.
