Just a little bit of an FAQ post while I’ve got a moment 🥳
Do I have any POL or coop ready birds?
I have one buff Orpington x & 1 black commercial australorp girl available.
Will you have POL soon?
Very unlikely, our girls usually sell around 10 weeks so the oldest I’ll have soon will be 10/12 weeks (they sell faster than I can grow them).
Do you sell chicks?
Yep, hatching twice a week currently, but like they say “don’t count your eggs before they hatch”… I can’t make any promises on what I’ll have. They are $10/$15 each. And only available until they’re a week old.
Can I take your unwanted roosters?
Yeah, 100% if they’re from my unsexed chicks you bought previously…
If you bought from another breeder, got ripped off with boys instead of girls and now are stuck with dudes…. Ooof, this is one I get A lot recently. Uh. Yes, I can. But this is something I charge for, and they won’t live happily ever after, they’ll be humanely euthanised so thats a personal choice 🙂
Can you let me know when this breed is ready?
I wish I could, and I promise I do try but I’m probably going to hear mum about a thousand times while I’m doing chicken jobs and totally forget. Gentle reminders/check ins are greatly appreciated, actually, mild harassment is what I would suggest. If you’re polite, don’t ever worry that you’re “bothering me”.
Do you have anyone that’s sexed but still young?
Yep, so many 🫣 if you have the set up to grow pullets from 7/8 weeks that are off heat but not coop ready, we currently have aracuanas, lots of dark Brahma, splash Brahma, gold Brahma, lavender Sussex, welsummers, polish x silkies…. There’s more I’m sure. You get the idea 💡
