We have been asked why our pork tastes so good .. this maybe the way to explain it. Our pork is heritage breeds and they are allowed to wander their own, dog and consume fresh fruit and vegetables.

We may have been a little quiet on Facebook lately as we were taking a well deserved little holiday but we are back!!

Our first look around the farm after returning and we discovered miss piggy is very close to giving birth. This will mean awesome pork next year.....miss piggy 2 isn't too far behind. Look out for baby spam soon.

The breeding herd is looking fabulous considering the conditions at the moment. First calves are due November so bring it on.

And the final bit of news, our last heifer is officially in calf with Miss Venice due May next year. She is a little out of synced with the rest but that just means a cow/calf pairs to show for all of next year.

Our meat run will be coming up with an email heading out this weekend for orders of lamb and beef....

You just know them scratches are pretty darn good.

When I left for work this morning, I found one of these Muppets on my front road. A great way to start the morning....

With Damon's and our neighbours help, we managed to get her back into the neighbours paddock and this afternoon I've gone for a walk to find out where my darling Winnie had gotten out. I discovered a fence in not so great condition.

I have started temporary repairs to make sure that tomorrow morning doesn't start with the phone call telling me Belties are on the road and Latte has decided to help me out.

The culprit was then caught checking out my repairs.....
