Another big couple days at show for the littlest crew. Our 3 W girls headed to Crows Nest as a part of the Concordia Lutheran College (Official) show team. The students did extremely well with miss Willow taking 2nd place in a large class of cattle.

Damon topped of his day winning 1st place in junior produce judging. This was a first for Damon but apparently he knows his butternut pumpkins. Damon then continued on to take out equal 3rd in chicken judging.

Hello all,

Adalee Downs is preparing another meat run, where we will be processing some of our lambs and pigs. As we only have limited availability of animals, packages will be assigned on a first come first serve basis.
For sale we will have the following lamb and pork packages available for purchase.

LAMB - All SOLD

We have a limited number of lamb available so are offering the following:

1) Half a lamb (approx 15-20kg) at $19/kg. Each half side of lamb will include a selection of prime cuts such as chops, ribs, leg roasts, shoulder roasts, shanks and sausages.

2) Whole lamb (approx 30-40kg) at $18/kg. This will include all of the cuts from the half lamb but twice as much meat.

HOGGET - ALL SOLD

We only have one hogget available this run and can be sold as 2 halves or a whole animal.

1) Half a hogget (approx 25kg) at $15/kg. Each half side of hogget will include a selection of prime cuts such as chops, ribs, leg roasts, shoulder roasts, shanks and sausages.

2) Whole hogget (approx 40-50kg) at $14/kg. This will include all of the cuts from the half hogget but twice as much meat.

PORK

3 X 10KG BOXES LEFT

We have 2 pigs available including a large white sow and therefore her halves will be significantly larger for those wanting larger cuts/more meat. We estimate her halves to be approximately 45kg kg each. If you specifically wish for this animal, please let us know.

WE ACKNOWLEDGE THAT 45KG IS A LOT OF PORK TO BUY IN ONE GO, SO WE ARE HAPPY TO OFFER IT IN A 10KG (approx) MIXED BOX.
WE AIM TO HAVE ONE, 1.5KG TO 2KG ROAST IN EACH BOX WITH THE REMAINDER TO BE MADE UP OF VARIOUS CUTS OF PORK PRICED AT $170. ALL CUTS WILL BE LABELLED AND CRYOVACCED LIKE THE PICTURE BELOW.

Our second animal is a smaller Duroc x Berkshire pig and therefore her meat will be highly flavourful and delicious being a slower growing heritage breed. THE DUROC PIG IS NOW SOLD.

1) Half a pig (approx 10-15kg) at $17/kg. Each half side of pork will include a selection of prime cuts such as chops, ribs, leg roasts, shoulder roasts ect

2) Whole pig (approx 20-30kg) at $16/kg. This will include all of the cuts from the half pig but twice as much meat.

**All half and whole beast packages will require a deposit at ordering with the balance to be paid on delivery or pickup.

We are currently anticipating that the meat will be ready THE 9TH of May and we would be happy to help arrange pickup or delivery, depending on your preference and location. Payment will be required by bank transfer or using eftpos on the day of delivery.

Ok Adalee Downs followers.....

Adam brought home a new friend today to go over one of our lady pigs (in a few months time) so we can keep you guys in heritage pork products. He is a keeper (a Berkshire boar), so we need a name.....

I said Bob..... Damon says that's a dumb name. Let's see if you can do better.

It is so dry here at the moment, we are moving cattle early to the winter paddock. And while we are at it we weighed them all and gave them a multivitamin.

Good news is they are still all gaining weight and that bull I brought home (the one that was "no more cows Lee") did his job with another stripey baby on the way to Crows Ash Sophie 🥰.

We have available a Purebred, Registered (ABGA) Belted Galloway Bull, Misty View Lightning Bolt. He was 2024 Champion Belted Galloway Bull Calf at Toowoomba Show. He is Halter Broken and very, very easy to work with. He is about 34 months old and ready to work. We purchased him recently as a mop up Bull after a round of AI, but have realised he is a bit too closely related to 2 of our Breeders so have chosen to go a different way.
We took these photo/videos in early March but can get new ones this weekend if requested.
May be able to assist with transport.

It's been a hot day here at Goombungee show, but here we are at the end with the following results.

2nd place 12-16 months MR Winnie

3rd place 24-30 months MR Venice
4th place 24-30 months MR Vera.

Well done to Concordia for showing the Belties.

The Fluffy butts are at show again.

Concordia Lutheran College have taken 5 of the Belties to the Goombungee Haden show where they will be apart of 127 head being shown this weekend. What great cattle numbers for a little show.
