And back came the rain. 😂🌧️

Apparently the weather had other plans!

🚛🐄 The great Ekka cattle exodus!

Cattle bump out started at 12.30pm, with exhibitors allocated time slots based on their travel distance.

By 5pm Sunday, this was the truck line-up as we were leaving! 😳

A whole lot of cattle, trucks, organising… and A LOT of waiting! 😂

Definitely an operation of its own!

After a week away at Ekka, we arrived home to some absolutely crazy weather… because apparently we hadn’t had quite enough rain yet! 😂

More rain, more mud and plenty of water waiting for us.

LET’S THANK THE REAL HEROES OF THE LAST WEEK! 🙏

The people we left behind carrying the load so we could have this incredible opportunity with the kids. 💕

A massive thank you to both lots of our parents, who have tag teamed at the farm, keeping everything running while we’ve been away. We’re pretty sure the animals have probably had better care and attention than they get from us! 😂🐄

And a very special THANK YOU to the team at Luke’s work.

They’re in an incredibly challenging and demanding phase at the moment, yet they’ve stepped up, taken care of business and kept everything moving while Luke has been away.

Being able to step away for a week knowing that his team has everything under control is pretty bloody impressive. And that’s a pretty bloody good team. 👏

Between the farm and work, our support crew have carried the load so we could be here, doing this with the kids.
