After a successful tender process Dowdens Pumping & Water Treatment was engaged to design, construct and commission a new, Sewage Treatment Plant, Potable Water Treatment Plant and Treated Effluent Irrigation system at Traveston in Queensland.

The location of the commercial roadside facility did not allow for connection to the local council water services. Therefore, all potable water and sewage treatment plants and associated equipment would need to be located onsite.

The Dowdens Pumping & Water Treatment team in Brisbane recently completed a 2-year project to install Remote Control Truck Fill Pump Stations. Our customer has several remote dam sites as part of a gas harvesting process.

Water is used for construction and dust suppression. An off-the-shelf solution was not available, so Dowdens was tasked with designing and building a solution. In addition, Dowdens included water sampling and testing in the process.

Dowdens Mackay Branch recently finished the install and commissioning of a new Rodney Industries Marani Poly Reel irrigation system, for the Strathdee cattle company (located at Eton near Mackay). Dowdens Agriculture team member, Jeff Roberts, assisted with the system design and Dowdens’ highly trained installers completed the install and commission.

Dowdens is the authorised reseller and service agent for Rodney Industries Marani Irrigators in Mackay. They have a large range of poly reel irrigators; ranging from 40mm to 160mm machines.
