Saving food doesn’t always arrive in neat, economical quantities. 💚
Normally, when I dehydrate produce, I’m working with large volumes. It makes far more sense for my time, energy and equipment.
But when ADRA calls to say they have good food that needs a home, I take what’s on offer.
Because sometimes doing the right thing isn’t the most efficient thing.
That produce will be preserved and turned into something useful instead of being wasted.
And in return, ADRA will receive packs of Woodlane Pantry meals to pass on to people in our community who need them.
Food saved.
Food transformed.
Food returned to the community.
A small circular economy happening right here in our own backyard. 🌱
