LA BELLA PASTICCERIA — OUR FINAL WEEK ❤️ AS THE OWNERS
This is one of the hardest things we've ever had to write.
La Bella Pasticceria has been sold, and this week will be our final week of trading as owners before the change of ownership takes place after July 1st.
Before we say goodbye, we wanted to share what La Bella has truly meant to our family.
Because it was never just a café.
In 2016, Monique lost her mum, Danielle.
Danielle wasn't just her mum—she was her best friend, her inspiration, and the person who first taught her that food could bring people together.
Through years of cooking, baking, travelling, and sharing family traditions together, they created memories that would stay with Monique forever.
When she was gone, Monique felt lost.
Until something quiet brought her back to her mum again.
The kitchen.
The smell of baking.
Handwritten recipes.
Memories of European cooking trips.
The feeling that somehow love never truly leaves us.
In 2019, La Bella began from our family home with cannoli, profiteroles, and Italian biscuits.
What started as a small dream quickly became something much bigger.
We baked through the night.
We sacrificed sleep.
We sacrificed time.
We even sacrificed moments we'll never get back with our children.
We sold everything and poured our hearts into this dream because it never felt like just a business.
It felt like family.
In 2024, we opened the doors to our café.
The day we turned the key for the first time didn't feel like an achievement.
It felt like her again.
Like somehow, through everything that had been lost, a piece of her had come back to life.
Since then, La Bella has become part of our family's story.
It watched our children grow.
It brought incredible people into our lives.
It gave us purpose, friendships, memories, and a community we will never forget.
Every coffee.
Every pastry.
Every celebration cake.
Every conversation.
You all became part of something so much bigger than a café.
Now our family is preparing for another beautiful chapter, with a new baby on the way, and we know it's time for a new beginning.
Saying goodbye is gut-wrenching.
And honestly, the hardest part will be locking the doors for the final time, turning off the lights, and walking away from a dream that started in our kitchen all those years ago.
Before we do, we'd love to see you one last time.
Come in for a coffee.
Come in for a pastry.
Come say hello.
Come say goodbye.
To every single person who supported us over the years—thank you.
You didn't just support a business.
You became part of our story.
With all our love,
Monique, Joshua, Luca, Isabella & our little blessing on the way ❤️
Once part of the La Bella family, always part of the La Bella family.
