Design of our new logo - Behind the scenes

7 years ago, I created the first logo design for Hou Mei Homemade. Now, I've revamped it into one of my proudest works yet.

Every element ties in with the very core of what Hou Mei Homemade aims to serve: the pan represents the western aspect of the fusion cuisine, while the fire (or the sauce, however you may see it) represents the Chinese concept of "wok hei". This is accompanied by the appearance of the letters for "hou mei" being tossed, mimicking a wok toss.

The watercolour texture, tying the design together, highlights our chef's dedication to make every dish a work of art.

And finally, the text at the bottom was handwritten by myself, emphasising our mission to create authentic experiences.
