Bolo Rei (English: "King Cake") is a traditional Portuguese cake that is usually eaten around Christmas, from December 25 until Epiphany (Dia de Reis in Portuguese, literally "Kings' Day", a reference to the Three Wise Men), on 6 January. Our "Bolo Rei" is a sweet bread like cake, rich in dried and candid fruit soaked in the famous Portuguese Port wine. This cake is a must in all Portuguese tables during the Christmas holiday.
