So lucky to chat with the amazing following her talk to the convention. The journey from junior athlete to world champion, the disappointment of missing out on Olympic gold, switching to winter sports, training as a doctor and competing on SAS Australia. Key themes of resilience, dealing with failure, the curse of perfectionism are ones that resonate with us all, and so inspiring and thought provoking.

We are learning more about the mental health challenges facing our profession through our research, and I’m grateful for the support of Prof Gordon Parker (founder of the Black Dog Institute) on our research team.

After successfully completing Run Melbourne 10km this weekend I’ve decided to run my first Melbourne Half Marathon this October to raise awareness of mental health issues, and also to raise funds for the Black Dog Institute. I snapped my left Achilles’ tendon in 1994 and my right one in 2013, so running has always been a challenge - but for me it’s a great metaphor for the struggles that many people face day to day. It’s also been extremely important for my own mental health over the last few years.

I’d love your support for this fundraising, and looking forward to seeing some colleagues out on the running track.

Matthew ..., what would you do with tonight’s Masterchef challenge... 90 minutes ⏰
You and Reynold on this day. Two dishes I would have loved to eat as a meal.

I'm watching the masterchefau S7 at present airing on Living foods, and it's such a pleasure watching u more as a person than than a cook.
You have such a warm personality which is caring, matured, humble and so well composed.

Lots of love from a Tanzanian (currently in India )😉
Happy birthday Matthew hope you had nice day
Happy Easter to you and your master chef batch mates
Just saw you on the News ! I'm off Slurpees 😔
