this is what happens when you combine chinese and indian cuisines in a himalayan region to create the beautiful bhutanese flavour - this is📍Apas Canteen in the C*D. aptly named much like the sky bison in Avatar the flavours from these dishes will have you soaring too. pizza was great. a nice sticky rice arrangement with huge flavours and beef jerky was a nice complement too. a little oily however the best foods typically are. awesome spot 🔥 apascanteen

big PSA here, I think i’ve found the best lamb sandwich in Melbourne, let alone one of the best sangas in melbourne over at📍Cafe Carlton in Carlton. this sandwich changed my worldview completely with a combination of dreams. it was like an archipelago of flavours joining like pangaea to create a united sandwich of the gods. sous vide lamb, house made garlic aioli, grilled onions and more combine to make one of the best in the business. go immediately. my favourite matcha has landed at highpoint Melbourne Matcha Pop Ups & Events 🍵🌙 and the west has been blessed with the best. my pick is the earl grey and the cinnabun flavour, what a glow up from Highpoint fr fr 😭🙏

this indian restaurant is a local favourite and it’s not hard to see why with naan tacos, exceptional butter chicken and meats across the board, a step up from most similar establishments in my opinion📍Chachaa Bhatija in Rosanna. highly recommend 🔥 Chachaa Bhatija Indian Restaurant | Rosanna

there’s a new northern style vietnamese restaurant in the C*D aptly named📍Hanoia and it’s a good one 👀 had to order the northern specials like the bun cha hanoi which slapped but tbh everything was very good. pho I felt was bit more southern style (my fav lowkey) with quality honestly better than most icons in the suburb. awesome addition to the C*D and shoutout my boy jhensen 🇵🇭🇻🇳 for the duo’s on this one 🤝 Hanoia Melbourne

there’s a new vietnamese sticky rice spot in the west📍Lang Xoi Viet in Sunshine North and they are very true to form. it reminds me of some beautiful mornings in Vietnam waking up and smashing one of these on the kerbside paired with a viet iced coffee. banh mi is decent, nice fillings and pate, definitely give these guys a go 🔥 shoutout jean | melb food & activities for putting me on this spot 🤝

there is a wave coming of outstanding Filipino cafe’s in Melbourne and📍Eli Cafe in Coburg is leading the charge. let’s start with the short rib flatbread which was one of the most memorable dishes I have had of late. paired with an outstanding ube latte and the classic langanissa and brisket toastie and you have a huge winner here. my filipino people? i love you.
