MARKET CANCELLED TODAY. But the Farm Shop is OPEN!
Unfortunately, due to the forecast rain, today’s farmers market has been cancelled.
As growers, working with the weather is one of the biggest challenges we face. So much of what we do depends on conditions beyond our control, and while we always hope for the best, sometimes the weather has other plans.
Preparing for market day is a huge effort. Harvesting, washing, packing, loading, and getting everything ready takes many hours of work throughout the week. It’s disappointing not to be able to bring that produce to market, and we’re thinking of all the other stall holders who have also put in countless hours preparing for today.
A big thank you to the market organisers. Making the call to cancel a market is never easy, and we appreciate the difficult job they have balancing the safety and wellbeing of stall holders, customers, volunteers and staff while navigating an unpredictable forecast.
The good news is that our farm shop is open and fully stocked, with plenty of fresh seasonal produce available. If you were planning to visit us at the market, we’d love to see you at the farm instead.
Thank you for your ongoing support of local growers, producers and markets. We hope to see everyone back at the market next time — hopefully under blue skies.

This is the instagrammable side of farming.

We love growing food and feel incredibly grateful that this is what we get to do each day. Watching crops flourish, harvesting beautiful produce, and sharing it with our community is deeply rewarding.
But a photo like this only tells part of the story.
What it doesn’t show are the challenges that small-scale farmers face every day—the uncertainty of weather, pests, disease, and changing customer demand. It doesn’t show frost-numbed fingers on winter mornings, long days in blazing summer heat, working through pouring rain, or harvesting in the freezing cold.
Behind every harvest is a lot of hard work, resilience, and hope.
We’re grateful for the good days, we learn from the hard ones, and we’re thankful for everyone who chooses to support local growers.
